Success - Can Grasping Large Numbers Help You Become Wealthy? - September 1, 2008 -

Is it possible that the reason that many of do not pursue or attain great wealth could be simply because it is in our nature to find large numbers mind-boggling?

Contemplating the number of leaves on even one tree, let alone a forest, or the blades of grass in a meadow, seems to conjure numbers that the mind cannot comprehend. Is it a huge stretch, then, to see why it is difficult for us to imagine ourselves making huge sums of money every month, or every week, or even every day?

If you asked, many people would tell you they want millions, but have they really thought about what that would look like in daily or monthly income? Probably not, because the numbers are so much larger than they are accustomed to. Unless they train their minds to understand and accept such a reality as being possible for them, it will never happen.

One 'trick' to helping your mind get around this to use the parallel above, rather than find it intimidating. Our world is bursting with abundance everywhere you turn. No matter where you live, there are myriad places you can see abundance - large numbers in this case - in action. By looking for these examples of enormous quantity, you will train your mind to think big - to understand that your reality includes huge numbers. They have always been there, of course. Here are some ideas to get you started:

- Raindrops
- Blades of grass in the nearest patch you come across
- Leaves on trees
- Seeds of moisture in a cloud
- People in your square kilometre of the world, or in the city nearest you
- Total number of windows in a metropolis
- Bubbles in a bubblebath
- Grains of sand on a beach

You get the idea!

Remember that what we focus on tends to be what manifests in our lives. When we spend our days with the narrow focus of our immediate families, possibly our job details and a few social activities, we remain in that circle and things will not change. If you are trying to create wealth - especially massive wealth - then by pursuing this esoteric step of changing your focus from yourself to the larger world around you, you will open your mind and create more receptiveness to the wealth and abundance you are after.
